Congratulations to the Sr. Select boy's team for winning the 2012 McCallie Tournament.  The Raiders were undefeated on the day and beat local rival Pope in the final 4 to 1 to take the tournament crown.  Congratulations Raiders!

Hi everyone.  Summer will be here soon, and I wanted to let you know about several girls lacrosse opportunities to keep your skills up during the summer break that we have received from various organizations.
 
The first is The Atlanta Draw, with Mandy Ryan, Walton Women's Lacrosse Coach, and Forrest Stillwell, Bucknell University Women's Lacrosse Coach. This program is open to future Walton HS and Holy Innocents' players.  They focus on moving from fundamentals to competitive play, with goal-orientated instructions on teamwork and sportsmanship to encourage more team play in high school.  Instruction based on GA high school play, ability and needs, and backing by Walton/HIES schools.
 
COST:
$350 fee includes:
* 13 two-hour practices = 26 hours of instruction
* Instruction directly from Coach Ryan and Coach Stillwell & selected HS/College players
* Uniform kit (reversible jersey and shorts)
* Two written player evaluations 
* Mid-Season and End-of-Season
* Training on goal setting and evaluation of goals
* Two tournaments:
       1.  Southern Alliance Tournament; Peachtree City, GA; June 9-10
       2.  Catawba Classic; Rock Hill, SC;  June 16-17

 
The second is The ATL, a club lacrosse team for MS + HS girls in the surrounding Atlanta area! They focus heavily on instruction, and provide our members with the opportunity to travel to different tournaments throughout the year. The membership is open to any MS or HS player in the area and they do not hold tryouts. They will however break out our teams based upon tournament options.

Dear Jr. Raider Lacrosse:  We are in no way to enter the Dodgen facility.  We cannot ask custodians, teachers, or other community activities that are using the interior of Dodgen to let us in to use the bathrooms.  I cannot emphasize enough that coaches, players, parents, and other spectators need to stay out of the Dodgen restrooms.  Do not do this again or we will lose our ability to practice and play on the Dodgen fields.  Tell one - tell all - do not use the bathrooms at Dodgen.

If anyone is interested in summer lacrosse camps, we would highly suggest looking into the Trilogy Lacrosse Camps being held at North Georgia College.  There are two sessions in June...the first from June 11 through 15 and the second is June 18 through 22.  

Our experience with the instructors of Trilogy has been superb...not only are they excellent lacrosse players and coaches, they have gone out of their way to show a genuine interest in the Walton Jr. program.  Visit their website at trilogylacrosse.com for more info.
